Science is being done by people all over the world, both men and women. Although everybody we study in our books is a dead white guy from the past, we’re learning more about our universe through science than ever before! I’d like you to read about your favorite branch of science. Find a woman, a minority (an American who is not a white person), or a native of Asia, Africa, South America, Central America, or Mexico who contributed to that field.
Write why you think that scientist should be honored on our tables.
You must have a scientist picked by this Thursday! 1/13/11 The due date is the end of the second marking period (1/21/11).
It will be graded for the second marking period.
Explain why this scientist’s achievements make him or her worthy of being featured on our tables.
